Preston Lions Football Club (PLFC) will hold trials for playing spots for our 2016 Junior Boys teams (Under 12 to 18’s) with the aim of creating 2 teams per age group. This is necessary due to the continued increase in player numbers over the past couple of years and a large number of expressions of interest from new players for the 2016 season. Please note all Juniors Boys (U12-U18’s) who are interested in playing with PLFC in 2016 are expected to attend the 3 relevant trial days for their age group and need to arrive 30 minutes prior to the trial sessions to register and have a trial number allocated. Trials will be conducted on the following dates and times:
Saturday 5th December 2015
- Under 12 & 13 age groups (born 2004 and 2003) – 9.00am to 10:30am
- Under 14 & 15 age groups (born 2002 and 2001) – 10:45am to 12:15pm
- Under 16 & 18 age groups (born 2000, 1999 and 1998) – 1.00pm to 2:30pm
Tuesday 8th December 2015
- Under 12 to 14 age groups – 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Thursday 10th December 2015
- Under 15 to 18 age groups – 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Saturday 12th December 2015
- Under 12 & 13 age groups – 9.00 to 10:30am
- Under 14 & 15 age groups – 10:45am to 12:15pm
- Under 16 & 18 age groups – 1.00pm to 2:30pm
Playing spots within each age group and team will be determined by this trial process which will be run by our Junior Coaching Group. This Group consists of a selected panel of experienced coaches (including the coach of the relevant team).
All players trialing will be advised via email if they have secured a spot within days of the last trial day. Successful players will then be asked to attend the following days to register and pay a deposit of $150 to secure a spot for 2016:
- Wednesday 16th December 6.30-8.30pm
- Thursday 17th December 6.30-8.30pm
Registration/Information Days – Lion Cubs, Miniroos, Junior Girls
In addition, the Club has organised two registration/information days for all Lion Cubs (U4-U6’s), Miniroos (U7-U11’s) and Junior Girls (U12-U18’s) on the following days at our home ground (B.T. Connor Reserve, Broadhurst Avenue Reservoir). All fees and inclusions are currently being finalised and will be available prior to these sessions:
- Sunday 29 November 2015, 10am-1pm
- Sunday 17th January 2016, 10am-1pm
2016 Training Commencement – Miniroos and Juniors
2016 training for all players will commence 6.15pm on Tuesday 19 January (excluding Lion Cubs who are expected to start in late January 2016 – date TBC) at our home ground (B.T. Connor Reserve, Broadhurst Avenue Reservoir).
