Last week Preston Lions FC was privileged to have the Hon. John Eren MP (State Minister for Sport/Tourism & Major Events/Veteran’s Affairs) visit B.T. Connor Reserve to meet with Club representatives. The meeting was organised by our local member Bronwyn Halfpenny (Member for Thomastown) with Darebin City CouncilMayor Vince Fontana also in attendance.
It was a terrific opportunity for Club representatives to give the Minister a brief overview of the club’s history and the recent renaissance with the growth in player numbers. We discussed the improvements to facilities and the how the State and local government can partner with us on our future plans.
We sincerely thank all parties for taking the time to meet with us and we look forward to a strong and productive relationship into the future for the benefit of our local community.
